The Richmond Animal Hospital is definitely a Richmond landmark. Our hospital was built in 1955 and has been serving the furry and feathered residents of Richmond and Vancouver BC ever since. Whether it’s a dog, cat, rodent, bird or reptile, your pet will get the best medical attention possible.
The clinic was opened by Dr J Lomas and was the first veterinary hospital in Richmond BC. It was even around before Richmond General Hospital. Dr Lomas spent the majority of his time treating large animals for the numerous farmers in the area. He sold the practice in 1971 to Dr A Jamieson. Dr Jamieson’s passion was for small, companion animals so the practice took on a whole new feel. He also expanded on the original building, adding on kennels. The initial kennels burned down in a fire in the early 1990’s. Then the current kennels were built.
Our doctors and staff are made up of highly skilled people who all have a special bond with our animal friends. We are a full service veterinary hospital, grooming and cat boarding facility. Our mission is to provide the highest quality animal care services in a caring and efficient manner.
We enjoy meeting new clients and developing a relationship with them throughout the lives of their pets, focusing on preventive medicine.
