I have close to 30 years of veterinary experience – along with a lifetime of interest in animals and their care.
I graduated with honours from The University of Alberta and Saskatchewan. I have a degree in Zoology as well as in Veterinary Medicine. My interests in Veterinary Medicine include soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine, nutrition and dermatology as well as exotic animal medicine.
After several years of working for other vets, I realized that in order to implement my vision of an all-encompassing practice that provided services from diagnosis to surgery to medicine to behavioural medicine, I would need to open my own animal hospital. In 1993, I bought the practice of the Richmond Animal Hospital and have spent close to a decade building it into one of the most respected and innovative animal care facilities and veterinary practices on the West Coast.
Over the years, I have dealt with thousands of animals, providing diagnosis, care, treatment and surgery. As well as being a veterinary surgeon providing both preventative (such as spaying and neutering), medical surgeries (such as orthopedic, tumour and cyst removal), I also offer emergency medical care for animals that have been injured in car accidents or other mishaps.
In my spare time I enjoy running, playing trombone and piano. I also love going on new adventures with my wife and two boys. My family pets include a rescue dog, Beetle, and two cats, Cracker and Zerbert.
