Registered Veterinary Technician

Since I was young, I’ve wanted to work with animals. This remained one constant despite my moving to Richmond from Montreal in 2002. Since then, I’ve volunteered at numerous animal hospitals, shelters, avian sanctuaries, and even barn yards. While the work can be a struggle sometimes, a horse’s neigh, a dog’s wagging tail or a cat’s purr never ceases to bring me back.

I followed up on my dream to continue working with animals by first completing a degree in Applied Animal Biology from UBC in 2012. Then I became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2015 to brush up on my practical and animal nursing skills to care for your four-legged family members.

Working at The Richmond Animal Hospital has been a blast and caring for our patients is a great reward, one that I’m sure I will continually seek. I particularly enjoy the challenging aspect in anesthesia monitoring as it always requires me to think on my feet!

When I’m not caring for animals, I enjoy the usual things – watching movies, hanging out with friends, looking for new cafes to try, and singing to Disney’s musical numbers. I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series and sometimes like to give myself the title of: Wrangler of “Fantastic Beasts”! Which is more true than I would like it to be in some circumstances!
